[Delight peeks out of the doorway, curious to see who might be knocking at such a late hour- but when she recognizes Danse, her expression brightens into a grin and she beckons him inside. There are golden threads woven into her hair tonight, her outfit simple and bright in a way that's somehow more ostentatious than the other gods have appeared, but more carefree and joyful as well.
She sets her hands on her hips, the earlier smile still tugging at her lips.]
[...he'll probably never get used to the way the gods pop in and out of thin air. Startled, his shoulders hitch up in shock when Delight materializes out of nowhere, but the shock subsides, and when a bright smile and a gesture invites him into the temple he accepts.
Still apprehensive, he follows her inside, bracing himself for the emotions that are to come. And sure enough there's the bubbly sensation in his chest, one that fills him with a pleasant warmth. His lips twitch, tempted to pull a smile.
But he pulls back. Bites his bottom lip and kills it before it spreads. Reminds himself that this delight is not real, that it's all artificially induced because he's in the god's presence.
The disarming smile and dazzling outfit is fitting for a god called Delight. Danse only wishes he could return her a similar greeting in a genuine manner, but honestly? Feeling this happy only hurts because it dregs out the memories, reminds him of a time when he had all the reasons to smile and laugh and love.]
Thanks for inviting me in. I'm a relative newcomer to this city and I've heard differing opinions on the gods, some of it possibly subject to some bias. So, I'd like to speak with you myself and form my own opinion on the kind of person you are.
[She takes a step back, giving him a little space- though the urge toward joy doesn't fade and it's ever-present as long as he's in her temple. Still, her expression dulls a little and the smile goes a little wistful, maybe even self conscious as she moves back toward the altar and leans herself up against it.]
I'll admit that I'm not my best right now, but I'll answer any questions you may have.
We can start with this question. I'd like to get your thoughts on the current relationship between yourself and us. I know the timing of the question is not exactly ideal given what happened to your bar, but I'm wondering what's your view on us and what's caused you to have those views in the first place. And I supposed I'd also like to know exactly what kind of relationship you'd like to have with us, if you want one at all.
[But she pauses for a long moment, considering it. It's- not easy to answer, there are many parts to it, and so Delight slips back into the depths of the temple to lift herself up and sit up on the altar, crossing her legs at the ankles.]
I like you all- I'd like to be friends with everyone, but... I don't think that you want to be friends with me. Not after what happened.
[She frowns.]
We've always been kind to our hosts. It's a symbiotic relationship- you give us the power to provide for you. I'd like it if the relationship was more affectionate than utilitarian, but I think that some of my allies would disagree with me.

[A concerned frown.] Are you injured from the explosion?

[She lifts up her hands, totally innocent.]
Just my pride, I guess.
